A Reverse Prostitute

Spread the love

Ezekiel 16 vs. 34 (NLT)
So you are the opposite of other prostitutes. You pay your lovers instead of their paying you!

Since the beginning of time, the work of prostitution has been alive and well. It is a job that always has an opening, whether you are male or female. You really don’t need any experience, just a willingness to work.

Generally, in this kind of work, you perform a service and, in exchange for that service, you are paid. I want to offer some food for thought: Could you imagine paying your employer to work at their place of business, or taking food to the grocery store and leaving not just the groceries but the money it cost you to buy them? What if I told you that there are people who refuse payment for their gifts but instead go out into the world and offer others money to take their greatest gifts, like a prostitute in reverse?

A lover is one who bears no responsibility to you. They cannot be counted on when you are sick, tired, or afraid, and they are not bound to you by any allegiance or contract. They offer a short-term solace to a long-term problem that needs a permanent solution.

Your greatest gifts are your life, your health, your strength, and your family. Do you pay someone or some habit of yours to come and take your greatest gifts? Do you prostitute your treasures? Instead of receiving something in return, you give the recipient something to make it, and now you have been sent away without so much as a kiss.

May you have the courage to turn to God, who is the only one who can get back everything that you have paid others to take from you or have given away for nothing, including yourself.
