Falling Into God’s Hands

Spread the love

2 Samuel 24:14
David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”

Have you ever noticed that there is an imitation for everything that God makes? In exchange for fruit, we have candy; in exchange for water, we have all kinds of beverages, and for vegetables, we have all kinds of veggie chips, while grains have been pressed into sweet cereals.  When David messed up, he was smart enough to know not to fall into man’s hands for man has no mercy, and even though he lost a great deal in God’s hand, he did not lose it all.

Even our doctors know that when in trouble, it is better to return to more trusted ways. For heart problems, it is a low-fat diet; for diabetes, it’s a low-carb diet, and for intestinal issues, it’s a high-fiber diet as if these things should not have been practiced beforehand to avoid earth-shattering illnesses in the first place. When you pay attention, it is not hard to discover the best path to follow, as all you have to do is look at the way out. There is now enough information out there on how to avoid certain ailments and diseases. Yet, year after year, people remain utterly shocked by a medical diagnosis as if they are not surrounded by information on what to do to avoid these things.

We have all had our health scares, but if you wish to have the assurance of good health, why not cut out all the imitations of man, for his way shows no mercy. Instead, fall into God’s hands by eating the foods that He made, and that is the only way to be sure that you will enjoy true health and peace of mind.
